The fonds consists of textual materials and photographs. The textual material consists of a small number of original documents such as a hand-written letter from Mrs. Jane A. Whatmough to her daughter, Annie Louise Gallagher, dated 1904, wedding invitations and funeral a programme, as well as Gallagher and Whatmough family trees compiled by Howard Gallagher (1887-1997), a Whatmough Family History compiled by Janet (Whatmough) Cureton in 1974, and a 1932 yearbook of the Ontario Agricultural College and Macdonald Institute (Guelph). Included is a typescript, "Greenwood Farm", by Grant A. Whatmough, 1976 (225 pages). There are 80 photographs. Some had labels or inscriptions, others were identified with the assistance of Grant A. The fonds consists chiefly of correspondence (professional and personal); diaries and address books, inventories; financial records; photographs of artworks and family; and miscellaneous papers.

The fonds consists first, of papers of Frances Loring: correspondence (largely genealogical), lists of her works, a collection of short stories, articles, newspaper clippings, information about Loring’s father, Frank C. Loring, and two etching plates. Second, papers and other materials of Florence Wyle: poems, diaries, journals, articles, biographical information (including birth certificates, passport), lists (including prices and exhibitions) of her works, and various etching plates. The third part of the fonds comprises a collection of photographs of works by both artists. Lastly, the 1987 accrual to the fonds contains further biographical documentation and correspondence (relating to artworks, to the Loring and Wyle Trust Fund, to personal matters including finances, and to their estate) and an additional collection of photographs. Series consists of one cash book for the 2nd Coniston Troop group committee, three typed gestetner copies of the 2nd Coniston Financial report, two unidentified receipts (numbered 18,001,099 and 17,843,904) stamped by the issuing office of Coniston, Ontario and dated February 7th and 17th 1949, and a receipt received for registration fees from the 2nd Coniston Group to the Boy Scouts Association Provincial Council for Ontario, dated December 10th, 1953.

One photocopy of a fax, dated December 4, 1991, to Wendy Watson of MCTV from Alan Querney of Muirheads. Attached to the fax are photocopies of a newspaper clipping ("Scottish Sailor opened store 100 years ago" by Harold Carmichael, The Sudbury Star, October 30, 1991) and two photocopies of sections in books regarding the history of Muirheads ("Muirhead Stationers Inc." in The Sudbury Region by Richard P. Baine, 1969, p. 147; and "The first 75 years : a headline history of Sudbury, Canada" by Charles Dorian, 1958, p26-27).
